Nana Impraim Asaabo VIII

Twafohene of Ekumfi-Eyisam | Executive Director, Domhene Foundation

Born and raised in Aburi, a scenic town in Ghana's Eastern Region, Nana Impraim Asaabo VIII embodies the spirit of resilience, compassion, and service. As the only son among six children, he grew up in a household where love, respect, and fairness were the foundation of family life.

These early values shaped his character and instilled in him a profound sense of responsibility toward others—a quality that would later define his life's mission.

A Journey of Perseverance

From humble beginnings to community leadership

Nana Impraim Asaabo VIII attended Kemp Junior Secondary School before advancing to Aburi Technical School. However, his path to education was fraught with challenges. Financial hardships forced him to work multiple manual jobs to pay his school fees and support his family.

Whether laboring in construction, engaging in small-scale trade, or taking on any available work, he demonstrated unwavering perseverance and an exceptional work ethic. These experiences taught him the value of hard work, humility, and determination—lessons that continue to guide his leadership today.

Born from Personal Experience

Having personally endured financial hardships, hunger, and the struggle to find shelter, Nana developed a profound empathy for those facing similar circumstances. These challenges did not break him; instead, they fueled his resolve to create meaningful change. Understanding firsthand the pain of deprivation, he made it his life's mission to give back to society and uplift those in need.

Today, as the respected Twafohene of Ekumfi-Eyisam and founder of the Domhene Foundation, Nana Impraim Asaabo VIII channels his experiences into transformative action. His leadership is marked by compassion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to social justice.
