About Domhene Foundation

Empowering the vulnerable. Transforming communities. Building futures.

Domhene Foundation Community Work

Who We Are

Domhene Foundation is a beacon of hope dedicated to uplifting the most vulnerable members of society. We believe that every individual—regardless of their circumstances—deserves dignity, opportunity, and the chance to thrive. Our comprehensive approach addresses the multifaceted needs of underserved communities through integrated programs in education, healthcare, shelter, and economic empowerment.

Founded on principles of compassion and social justice, we create pathways for women, children, and marginalized individuals to rebuild their lives with strength and renewed purpose. Our work extends beyond immediate relief; we invest in long-term solutions that break cycles of poverty, abuse, and neglect.

A Milestone in Our Journey

In 2018, Domhene Foundation established a residential shelter in Ekumfi-Eyisam, marking a pivotal moment in our mission. This safe haven provides comprehensive support for battered and homeless children, offering them protection, care, and the resources needed to heal and grow.

Through the generosity of our supporters and partners, we provide:

  • Professional Counseling & Trauma Support: Expert psychological services to help survivors heal from trauma and build emotional resilience
  • Financial Assistance & Rehabilitation: Economic support and skills training to foster independence and self-sufficiency
  • Comprehensive Healthcare Services: Free medical care, preventive health programs, and wellness initiatives
  • Widow Support Programs: Specialized assistance for widows facing economic and social challenges
  • Community Outreach: Essential aid and resources for marginalized populations
  • Educational Scholarships: Financial support enabling children and youth to access quality education

Our holistic model recognizes that true empowerment requires addressing physical, emotional, economic, and social needs simultaneously. By creating safe, nurturing environments and providing comprehensive support systems, we enable individuals to reclaim their lives and reach their full potential.

Our Mission

Domhene Foundation is committed to creating sustainable change through four core pillars:

  • Providing charitable support, educational scholarships, and safe shelter to vulnerable and distressed populations
  • Delivering accessible healthcare and wellness programs that improve well-being in underserved communities
  • Organizing sports, recreation, and community engagement initiatives that foster unity and social cohesion
  • Creating empowering environments where abuse survivors can heal, rebuild, and live free from fear

Our Vision

We envision a society where no one is left behind—a world where the vulnerable, marginalized, and abused are uplifted with dignity and respect. Our vision is rooted in compassion and guided by a commitment to social justice, where every action we take reflects our dedication to creating meaningful, lasting impact.

Through Domhene Foundation, we are building a future where kindness, empowerment, and justice are not aspirations but realities. We strive to be catalysts for transformation, particularly in the lives of women and children, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to live with purpose, security, and hope.
